The Mechanical Repair Plant of Schuchinsk was erected by the order of the Ministry of Agriculture from 5th of May, 1971. The site was programmed to maintain excavators, cranes, produce agricultural equipment, pipe-layers, tankers, bulldozers, plastering stations, scaffolds, etc.

In 1988 the plant was subsidized by the Ministry of Heavy Machinery of the USSR, and became known as the Boiler Mechanical Plant of Schuchinsk. With help of Bijsk boiler plant it became possible to start producing steam boilers with sheathing and brickwork of KE series and water boilers H-23, KBTC, KBM, etc. The production was delivered to all republics of the USSR.

After the USSR collapse in 1992 the plant was acquired by the team of entrepreneurs, but maintained its profile orientation and production nomenclature.

In 1998 a LLP “AZIAENERGOPROEKTMONTAZH” (a.k.a AEPM) was established based on the Boiler Mechanical Plant of Schuchinsk.

In 2007 extra production lines were launched; they allow plastic and preisolated pipes production for on-surface and underground heating ducts.

In the “Burabay: the magic land” encyclopedia, LLP “AEPM” lead by Kondrashov V. A., is described as one of stable and dynamically developing enterprises of Shuchinsk.

Nowadays, AEPM is the only boiler producer in Kazakhstan. It has a network of industrial branches in such cities as Ust-Kamenogorsk, Astana, Schuchinsk, Almaty, and representations in Semey, Kyzylorda, and Qaragandy.
